Echo-9 was discovered on Leedomir and is one of my most memorable experiences as a droidsmith.

Leedomir, with its lush forests and ancient ruins, was always a place of intrigue for me. It was during an exploratory journey there that I chanced upon Echo-9. Deep in the dense jungle, far from any known path, I stumbled across a hidden, dilapidated outpost, a relic from an era long past. There, half-covered by overgrowth and camouflaged by the passage of time, was Echo-9.

This interrogation droid, once fearsome in its prime, was now a rusted, silent husk. Its spherical body was dented, and its once-sophisticated sensors and tools were damaged, a ghost of its former self. Extracting it from the tangle of vines and foliage was a delicate task, and I knew immediately that this would be one of my most challenging repair projects.

Back in my makeshift workshop, set up in an abandoned structure on Leedomir, I began the painstaking work of restoring Echo-9. The resources on Leedomir were limited, so I had to improvise with what I had. I repaired its damaged circuits, replaced non-functioning parts with makeshift components, and carefully cleaned its aged exterior.

Most crucially, I reprogrammed its AI. My goal was to preserve its advanced interrogation algorithms, but repurpose them for more benign functions like data analysis and problem-solving. The process was intricate, requiring a deep understanding of droid AI and a delicate touch.

After weeks of work, Echo-9 came back to life, not as an instrument of intimidation, but as a sophisticated analysis tool. It was a transformation that felt deeply rewarding. The droid that once extracted secrets was now a fount of knowledge, assisting me in understanding complex data and unraveling the mysteries of other droids I worked on.

This experience on Leedomir, with Echo-9, wasn't just about restoring a droid; it was about giving it a new purpose. It emphasized the transformative power of repair and reprogramming, and the role a droidsmith can play in reshaping the destiny of a droid. Echo-9, reborn on Leedomir, became a symbol of this transformative journey.
